You must submit an original government-issued photographic identification. This can be an original passport from another country or a certified copy of your driver’s license (certified by a solicitor or notary public).
* I used my driver's license. A local attorney made a copy of both sides of my license and then witnessed it on the back to be a true copy.

Your Irish-born parent’s full original civil birth certificate. The version that includes the name(s) of their parent(s). We do not accept baptismal certificates or birth certificates that do not show the name(s) of the parent(s). We do not accept laminated certificates.
If your Irish-born parent’s name on your birth certificate is different from their name on their Irish birth certificate, you will need to link your parent’s identity to your birth certificate. For example, they could have changed their name through marriage or divorce. We will require the original documents, such as the original civil marriage certificate or the separation agreement, your judicial separation court order, or your divorce decree. This must be certified by a solicitor or by the court.

After hearing some nightmare stories about people being contacted to supply extra paperwork, I added a sleeve with extra documents and a note saying, "Extra Proof of I.D. if Needed".
I included:
**Don't forget a copy of the application cover page must be resubmitted if the passport office asks you to send in any extra paperwork after your initial submission.
Understanding the Role of a Notary
A notary, or notary public, plays an essential role in legal and transactional matters by verifying that a document was signed correctly and by the right parties.
Notarization involves several steps, including:
Identification:
Notaries ask for photo identification from all parties involved to confirm their identities
Witnessing Signatures:
The notary ensures that each party voluntarily signs the document.
Certifying the Document:
After witnessing the signing, the notary affixes a seal or stamp to the document, which includes a notarial certificate indicating the transaction occurred.
Important
Notaries are prohibited from refusing service based on race, nationality, religion, or gender, ensuring a fair and unbiased process.

*Remember
Whoever you use as a witness, they must be contactable by the Irish authorities.

PO Box Address Help
When you’ve collected all of your documents, you’re getting ready to pack them all up in an envelope and take them off to the courier. Everything seems in order until the courier tells you that “we do not deliver to PO Boxes.” Do not worry; I have this covered too!
If you dig around, you will find that postcode K32 AE72 will work; now you just have to figure out how to get it addressed correctly.
I went online to the DHL website and found the section where you fill out the address label. I entered in the information that you can see in the picture opposite this text. Then you can screenshot or print that and hand it to the courier when they ask for the address.
